Actress Farrah Fawcett whose layered blonde swimsuit poster transformed the “Charlie’s Angels” star into a ’70s icon, died Thursday. She was 62.
I fondly remember taking the gorgeous picture of a red swimsuit-clad Farrah Fawcett to the beauty shop and showing the pic to my beautician and saying, “I wanna look like her.” She was talented and gorgeous beyond belief. Women and men adored her. She seemed sweet enough–after all she use to be married to Lee Majors the 6 million dollar man.
Farrah Fawcett waged a courageous three-year battle against anal cancer and died shortly before 9:30 a.m. in Santa Monica hospital. The Texas-born actress chronicled her valiant fight for survival in a two-hour documentary. ” Farrah’s Story”.
Rest in Peace, Farrah.
